The U.S. government is placing or increasing tariffs on imported flooring products, especially vinyl and rigid core flooring types like SPC, with the goal to counter unfair trade practices and boost American manufacturing.

Where is SPC flooring usually imported from?
The majority of SPC flooring in the U.S. market is imported from China and Southeast Asia. These regions are now being hit with additional import duties, raising costs significantly for flooring suppliers who rely on overseas factories.
